We Are Teaching A Million People How To Meditate

Our community is dedicated to helping beginners learn about meditation and wellness for free. We do this as volunteers for the joy that comes from paying forward a practice that has so positively changed our lives.

1. Learn to Meditate
2. Invest in Wellness
3. Help Others

Since 2014 our community has been teaching meditation to beginners, supporting each other in sustaining a daily practice and exploring wellness, and then training volunteers as local chapter organizers and meditation instructors.

We're growing quickly. To date we've taught thousands of people how to meditate, have 34 volunteer meditation instructors, local chapters from London to LA and over 50,000 in our online groups.

The good news is there are a ton of resources available online to learn how to meditate. The bad news is there are so many different traditions and practices that so many options can be confusing or overwhelming to a beginner.

Our community is comprised entirely of volunteers who came to a meditation practice seeking a positive change in their own life. We're ordinary men and women from around the country with families, jobs and busy schedules just like you. Yet, we all agree this practice has changed our life so profoundly we feel compelled to gratefully pay it forward.

We offer several modes of learning so you can select options that best suit your needs: Short articles and videos, one-on-one work with an instructor by phone or webcam, local chapters, weekend retreats, and a monthly crash course via conference calls.

Our community starts with a stripped down version of meditation that can function alone as a practice or serve as a foundation for mindfulness, vipassana, insight, zazen, metta or other forms of meditation. We emphasis starting small and focusing on just 3 to 5 minutes a day for the first two months.

Our Community

OnLine

We number over 50,000 and we use the web to inspire and support each other with discussion groups and positive posts. There are several ways you can connect with us online.

Retreats

Taking some time to step away from our busy lives to deepen our practice is a valuable way of enriching our life. Our retreats are provided at cost, typically less than $200 for a weekend.

Challenges

Every month we get together to focus on a specific meditation or wellness topic. Challenges last 7, 10 or 21 days and help renew our commitment to a daily practice while deepening our individual experience.

Blog

Our team of bloggers offer a variety of voices and insights to help you continue to grow your practice. With topics ranging from mindful parenting to yoga there is always something good to read.

Local Chapters

In 2016 some members of our community started organizing local chapters so we could meditate together in person. If you don't find a chapter near you, we would be happy to help you start one.
